The Atlanta Opera Chorus seeks youth singers for the upcoming 2025-26 season.
Casting – Turandot
- Auditions are for girls and boys who have clear/unchanged voices.
- Children should be between 9-13 years old and under 5”0” tall.
- Must be local/regional resident due to the rehearsal schedule requirements.
- Schedule for Turandot (subject to change)

Audition Preparation:
Prepare 1 (one) complete piece from the following genres: art song or classical music theater (Rodgers and Hammerstein, Lerner and Lowe, musical theatre before 1990, etc.)
For Audition:
Pianist will be provided, or you may bring your own. Bring sheet music printed out IN THE CORRECT KEY (No IPADS).
Auditioning singers may also be asked to sing scales or tonal memory exercises.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Marketing Manager plays a key role in driving audience growth and revenue for The Atlanta Opera. As part of the newly formed Advancement Team—which integrates Marketing, Development, Box Office, and Revenue Operations—this role leads paid media strategy, pricing innovation, and customer engagement efforts. This individual combines creative vision with analytical rigor to optimize ticket sales, streaming subscriptions, and audience retention.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following duties in addition to other duties as assigned.
- Paid Media Strategy & Management: Lead paid campaigns across search, social, email, and SMS; manage external vendors to ensure performance and brand alignment.
- Pricing & Revenue Optimization: Develop dynamic ticket pricing models in collaboration with Advancement Leadership and Box Office, including tiering and subscription experiments.
- Audience Research & Persona Development: Create and maintain customer personas to guide targeting and messaging; document insights in a marketing playbook.
- Content & Calendar Planning: Build integrated content calendars across paid, owned, and earned media aligned with performance schedules.
- Email & SMS Marketing Oversight: Ensure campaigns are segmented, compliant, and conversion-optimized through vendor partnerships.
- Analytics & Reporting: Monitor KPIs (ROI, CPA, CTR, conversion rates); present monthly performance summaries to Advancement and quarterly reports to Executive Team.
- Cross-Team Collaboration: Align messaging and timing across Box Office, PR/Comms, Development, and Production.
- Vendor Management: Oversee creative and technical partners to ensure timely delivery of assets and reports.
- Campaign Optimization: Adjust strategies based on ticketing trends, demand forecasting, and seat-tier performance.
- Constructive Feedback: Embrace a growth mindset and collaborate openly to improve clarity, creativity, and impact of communications.
- Performance Planning: Develop seasonal marketing plans that integrate paid, owned, and earned channels.
- Brand Alignment: Partner with PR/Comms and Creative Director to ensure consistent voice and tone across all platforms.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years in digital marketing, advertising, or performance marketing; experience in arts, entertainment, or ticketed events preferred
- Strong understanding of customer acquisition, retention, and conversion strategies
- Experience managing paid media budgets and vendors with measurable ROI
- Proficiency in marketing analytics and campaign reporting
- Skilled in pricing strategy and audience development
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- Familiarity with tools like Google Analytics 4, Google Ads, Meta Business Suite, Asana, Microsoft Teams, CRM platforms; Tessitura and Wordfly a plus
- Comfortable using AI tools for research, planning, and content refinement
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field preferred (but not required)

Are you passionate about the arts and building meaningful donor relationships? The Atlanta Opera is seeking a Gift Officer to support our mission through the cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of Annual Fund donors, with a focus on mid-level gifts ($2,500–$9,999).
In this role, you will:
- Develop strategies for mid-level and broad-based giving
- Manage donor events and engagement activities

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following duties in addition to other duties as assigned.
- Manage and grow a portfolio of approximately 140 mid-level donors, coordinating with the Associate Director of Development to renew and increase gifts up to $10,000.
- Engage with broad-based donors and community prospects to identify and close new mid-level gifts.
- Write and coordinate direct mail, email, and social media appeals, developing messaging and timelines in collaboration with the marketing team.
- Oversee the Patrons Circle Event Series (mid-level events), including invitation copy, logistics, and annual calendar planning.
- Represent The Atlanta Opera at performances, community events, luncheons, and meet & greets to steward and cultivate donors.
- Assist in writing one to two planned giving stories annually in partnership with the Associate Director of Development.
- Support subscription renewal projects in collaboration with marketing and patron services teams.
- Partner with Advisory Council members to plan and execute off-site donor engagement opportunities, such as happy hours and hosted gatherings.
- Communicate Patrons Circle benefits to donors, including event invitations, parking details, and exclusive experiences.
- Contribute to donor retention and broad-based giving strategies through quarterly communications and engagement initiatives.
- Document call reports and solicitation progress through the timely submission of activity within the Tessitura database.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 2–3 years of experience in fundraising, patron services, or related nonprofit or customer-facing work.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Experience managing events or membership programs preferred.
- Creative, collaborative, and detail-oriented approach with a strong interest in non-profit development practices.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
- Experience using donor or CRM systems.
- Familiarity with AI tools and best practices for safe and responsible application in workflow.
- Strong attention to detail.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Lighting Supervisor (LS) reports directly to the Technical Director (TD) and oversees all lighting activities in support of The Atlanta Opera’s (TAO) mission. The LS actively manages lighting operations and provides administrative support for the Production Department.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following duties in addition to other duties as assigned.
Lighting Designer Communications and Liaison General Duties:
- Liaison with Lighting Designers for light plot and specifications, providing necessary information (ground plans, inventory lists, preliminary schedules, etc….).
- Draft plots to TAO standards.
- Advise on feasibility of design, in consultation with TD and head electrician with respect to venue limitations, inventory, budget, schedule, and other special concerns.
- Budget management for shows includes assisting the design team in not exceeding design budgets.
Show Management duties:
- Plan electric hang, focus, and cueing in consultation with TD and head electrician.
- Make orders for lighting equipment (rental gear, expendables, special equipment, etc….).
- In coordination with TD manage electrics budget and determine the necessary crew calls from prep through restore.
- Working with the head electrician supervises the hanging of all lights and lighting equipment.
- Supervise hang, focus and all networking for show operations. This includes video wall networking.
- Attend to all show notes from management or otherwise.
- Attend all services with Lighting Designer.
- Call follow spot cues as necessary.
- Attend all performances, ensure the preservation of the LX design, taking note and fixing/adjusting for any failures.
- In coordination with head electrician create and maintain all TAO lighting equipment (owned, rented, or borrowed).
- Fully document all productions, from development through performances, maintaining up-to-date documentation and video/photo records.
- Works in-person and remotely, in agreement with TD, to ensure all assigned tasks and needs are fulfilled.
- Oversee the management of TAO Infrastructure including networking, power, and tech tables.
Operational Duties:
- Manage all aspects of the Lighting budgets (operational and show). Including labor estimates, ordering, purchasing, tracking, coding, and communication with the Technical Director and Directors of Production.
- Oversee the management of TAO Lighting Infrastructure including networking, power, tech tables, and two-way radios. Additionally, any requests from other departments as they arise.
- Stay appraised of industry standards and technology in order to advise on best practices and investments.
- Advise and/or provide technical support with respect to lighting at special events or functions.
COMPETENCIES & QUALIFICATIONS
- Proficient digital drafting in VectorWorks or AutoCad. Use of Lite Write, Vor, lighting industry software and programming systems.
- Familiarity with AV production software such as “Watchout” and “disguise”.
- Experienced in moving / conventional lighting, ETC console, dimming, power, networking.
- Experience in leading an electrics crew for hang, focus, load out, and maintenance calls
- Experience assisting a lighting design team in a full production process.
- Excellent written and oral communication and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational skills, time management, and attention to detail.
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously and efficiently.
- Ability to work collaboratively within the production team and with multiple departments.
- Excellent computer skills and aptitude, especially using Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat Suite, as well as the ability to quickly learn new software programs.
- Experience and understanding of industry safety standards and applications.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Theatre or equivalent years in a professional theatrical environment.
- At least five (5) years’ work experience in theatrical production with a demonstrated track record of increased responsibility.
- Experience working with union crews is a plus.
- Position requires evening and weekend obligations during the opera season. Additionally, the position requires you to be able to work over 12+ hours in a day while in technical rehearsals and performances.
- Ability to communicate using a phone and headset.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Have a valid driver’s license.
- Knowledge of or interest in opera is preferred.
